Animal Kingdom rained out

Flag review

My review is only a 4 because we went on a day that the rain didn't stop. We had ponchos and tried our best to get through the park. We managed to go on Expedition Everest two times while it was not raining. We LOVE that ride! My son purchased an African drum (he plays drums) and one of the Cast Members sat down an played with him prior to his purchase! We missed some of the outdoor shows due to the rain; but we did have the chance to see the Lion King show and that was incredible. Great for any age! I'd like to return to this park some day.

Tips for Families

Pick a sunny day to attend this park. Many rides and shows must close during the rain.

Hollywood Studios

Flag review

While there is plenty to do for some of the younger kids, I'd really recommend this park for older children and adults. This park has two thrill rides in Rock n Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror. Both awesome rides! Like many other parks, this one has street performers, but they also involve the crowd, which is quite fun. Gift shops aren't as plentiful as they are in EPCOT or Magic Kingdom, but they are still there. This park has Fantasmic as it's nighttime show and it is quite impressive. I'd recommend getting to the entrance 30-45 minutes ahead of time to get good seating. After the show you can meander out of the park at a slow pace and get to see everything as it's closing up. Beautiful park overall.

Could be the best park!

Flag review

We love this park! This park has some rides, though no real thrill rides. Test Track is the closest ride to a thrill ride as it hits speeds of about 60mph. What really makes this park great is the countries. I would recommend spending more than one day in this park if you want to see everything. There is a boat ride as well that takes you from one side of the "world" to another. Each country around the world has gift shops and restaurants as well as little carts to buy beer from that country. Your children can have a Passport stamped at each country as well. The day is topped off with Illuminations Reflections of Earth nightime specatacular! This show is amazing and in our opinion a MUST SEE.

Tips for Families

Plan two days to see everything in this park.

Magic Kingdom Redemption

Flag review

Our first visit to Magic Kingdom in 2008 was rained out for the most part, so we decided to try again during our trip in 2011. We got there early and while we did experience some rain showers, that didn't stop us or slow us down at all since we had ponchos. What did dampen the experience was the fact that several rides shut down while we were on line for them. Most notably was Splash Mountain. We waited for almost 2 hours to be turned away once we were close. They offered no Fast Passes for a return trip...just apologies. By the end of the day we were quite disappointed with the amount of rides closed and stopped at Town Hall to compliment a couple of Cast Member, but to also let them know of our disappointment. To our delight we were comped a 1/2 day pass to come back to MK! We decided to come back in the late afternoon and experience The Magic Memories and You and Wishes along with Spectro Magic and some of the rides that were closed when we went the day before. I'm so glad we did!!! It was an awesome time. A BIG thanks to WDW for our 2nd chance at Magic. :-)

Tips for Families

Be prepared for the massive amounts of strollers in this park! It is geared towards kids afterall...

Vacation Central Florida Condo stay

Flag review

We've stayed at Windsor Hills Resort twice now through Vacation Central Florida. We love staying in their condos! Right from the start it is a great experience. THey do not hold a security deposit like other private home rental agencies do. This is a group of owners who reside in the community that they rent their units in. The units we stayed in were nicely decorated with Disney decorations. Not over the top, just nicely done. The condos were both very clean and the beds were comfy. They don't have huge tvs, but when your purpose of staying there is to visit parks or do sightseeing that doesn't really matter. All, I wanted was the news in the morning or evening to see the weather and that could be done on any size tv! Free Wi-fi and telephone calls as well. The pool is a short walk away though we drove down to use it. I would highly recommend using vacation central florida. We'll never use anyone else!

Tips for Families

Wait until you check in to stop at the store. You may find that you have dish soap and coffee filters etc, either left from the last guest or just provided for you.
