More Quality for your Dollar than OC MD

Flag review

Myrtle Beach is worth the drive for Maryland residents. Loved the hotel from customer service to oceanfront view. My favorite part is the beach access, calm ocean and hot tubs. With many pools to choose from the kids enjoyed the whirl pool the best. Relaxing family vacation on the beach is the best choice for this vacation. I wouldn't stay at any other hotel in Myrtle Beach. The space for the money and the attention to customers is amazing as well as many choices for pools, hot tubs and a not so crowded beach makes for a perfect week.

Tips for Families

Bring or Rent your umbrella, There is shopping and an amusement park available and check out the waterpark!!!

Unique Romantic Experience

Flag review

Nemacolin Woodlands is my favorite couples weekend vacation. As men with tophats wisk you away to your room from the minute you arrive to extremely amazing customer service received the entire vacation. The architecture and artwork is amazing as there are so many rooms themed. My favorite themed room was the library, where we enjoyed reading and playing board games. A must have massage at the spa is to die for. A weekend of relaxation can not be duplicated anywhere else. This is a vaction you must experience as words do not do justice to the experience.

Tips for Families

Nemacolin I prefer to make an adult vacation however the resort is kid friendly. There is a kids club and an indoor pool. Must take advantage of the spa and don't forget your book.

A Roaring Experience

Flag review

The Great Wolf Lodge is a super great experience for families and children of all ages. The tot water park is sectioned off to provide safe fun. Teens and Tweens can enjoy the waterslides and the wave pool safely. I was impressed with the quantity and quality of the lifeguards which gave me peace of mind that my eyes were not the only ones watching my children. Children and Tweens enjoyed the Mystery Quest Scavenger Hunt with talking creatures and searching for jewels. Parents can enjoy the waterslides, I personally really enjoyed the hot tubs and Starbucks. Jungle Jims was in my opinion the best place to dine for your money and time. The break from the hustle and bustle of the hotel was nice. The kids were almost as excited about the wolf den bunk bed room as they were about the water park. Overall, this was the best weekend vacation for families we have taken in ten years.

Tips for Families

When considering Pizza for dinner, Pizza Hut is by far the best option. The Mystery Quest wands can be shared by teams of kids to cut down on the costs and can also be brought back with every visit so don't loose them. Parents bring your patience, this is a kid vacation. I reccommend traveling off season for cheaper rates and every family must go to The Great Wolf at least once in their life.

A Roaring Adventure

Flag review

The Great Wolf Lodge is a super great experience for kids of all ages. The Tot waterpark is sectioned off so parents can easily keep track of younger children playing in the fountains and water slides. Teens and Tweens can roam around the park safely with huge water slides and yummy snacks. Magic Quest is a fantasy scavenger hunt most enjoyable for younger children while keeping the interest of the tweens. With plenty of food options from Jungle Jims to Pizza Hut and an all you can eat buffet, families will never get hungry. Parents can enjoy water slides, starbucks, childcare and adult beverages. Overall, the Great Wolf is a great weekend experience for families of all ages.

Tips for Families

Families should consider utilizing the minifridge and microwave by bringing snacks and drinks for children in order to cut costs. When considering pizza, Pizza Hut is the better quality choice and if you are trying to cut costs, children can share wands in the Quest game and work together in the scavenger hunt. Don't forget to bring your patience, as this is a resort geared for children.
