The Doubletree Hotel in Little Rock is a great place for families and children of all ages. We stayed there for two nights and have 2 children(ages 3 and 9 months). We booked a suite which had everything we needed. I will start with the pros of our stay and finish with the cons(or what I would suggest for families traveling with children) PROS: newly renovated and very clean. Most of us moms are very picky about what place our children are crawling around in and this hotel was very clean and the room comfortable. High latches on doors going to balcony, I was very nervous when I first saw we had to doors to the balcony and we have a 3 year old. Luckily there were secure safety locks on the doors out of the reach of the children. Countertop bar that covered length of room. I was very impressed with the amount of counterspace in the room because when we travel with a baby we have so many items such as baby food, bottles, spoons, forks, etc. It was very nice to have extra room to store baby food and all her needs. Plus a full size microwave and mini-fridge was an added bonus. World's most comfortable beds hands down. Lots of storage space. There was a huge closet, dressers, and even a small room on the side of the living space that we stored our suitcases in. Lots of room to make a night in a hotel feel more like home. COOKIES!!! The best cookies ever and they are complimentary. Nice staff and very helpful. The best view of LIttle Rock in the whole town. We had a corner room so we had the views of the skyscrapers and a beautiful view of the river as well. The balcony wrapped around and was beautiful to sit on and watch the city at night. CONS: The only real downside was the fact our room had a stand-up shower only. Traveling with children requires a bathtub in our family because trying to give a 9-month a shower is virtually impossible. We used the sink for her and it worked out ok, even though it was challenging.

Tips for Families

Ask for a room with a tub if you need one for small children.
