Natural beach

Flag review

This was a favorite for my family and I. If you're looking for the perfect sandy beach you'll have to look elsewhere. The beach is natural meaning that the beach is covered in seaweed. If you can deal with the seaweed the water is worth it. The water clarity is great especially compared to the Gulf of Mexico in Texas. It's a great place to snorkel. My nine year old did nothing but that. There's restrooms and showers on both sides of the park. There are covered picnic tables so bring drinks and snacks. There's also access to the old seven mile bridge and kayak rentals.

Tips for Families

There's a lot of seaweed. There's a lot of sea grass in most areas. Don't forget snorkeling gear. Bring lots of sunscreen and a waterproof camera. There's not much wave movement making it great for young children and babies.

Great sandwiches!

Flag review

This little hole in the wall had some great sandwiches. However the seating was limited and not too kid friendly in that aspect.

Tips for Families

Families that are big or have young children should consider using this cafe a to go option. All the seating is bar height.

Great family fun!

Flag review

This park is amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. My family and I rented kayaks and did the self guided tour. It's definitely a work out for beginners and children but it was fun to do. This park has a little bit of everything. I would recommend planning at least a half of a day if not more time to visit. My family and I enjoyed it and we'll definitely be back.

Tips for Families

Get there early as long lines can form
