Need for Speed? Visit Cars Land

Flag review

For anyone who has a child or even an adult who loves the Disney movie "CARS" Disney California Adventures is the place for you!! As you walk into the middle of California Adventures you enter Radiator Springs home to Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater, Red, Filmore, and many more. Quick snacks are available at the Cozy Cone Motel and enjoy a sit down meal at Flo's V8 Cafe. Have your picture taken with Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater outside the Cozy Cone or see Red as he moves around town. The area you don't want to miss is the Radiator Springs Racers. Make this your 1st stop when you enter the Springs so that you don't have a long wait or Fast Pass it!! We waited 40 minutes to ride in a Racer and it was worth every minute!! My daughters loved the ride and were entertained by the decor as we waited in line. Other fun rides are the Luigi's Flying Tires and the Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. Fun for all ages!! The food at Flo's V8 Cafe was affordable for a family of 4. The portions on the kid's menu are hearty enough for an adult.

Tips for Families

Ride the Radiator Springs Racer - 1st or Fast Pass It. Don't wait long for a Fast Pass they do run out. Eat at Flo's V8 Cafe - the food was wonderful!! Autograph books are NOT sold in Cars Land since the characters do not sign their autographs.

Nothing "tops" the Original Disneyland

Flag review

My husband and I decided to surprise our twin 10 year old daughters with a trip to Walt Disneyland in Anaheim, California over the Valentine's Day weekend. Having visited Walt Disney World several times we decided to visit the original. Best decision - ever!! We spent three days in the parks - Disney California Adventures and Disneyland!! What we liked about the two parks: They were small which made is easy to get to the attractions easily. The size of the two parks was not overwhelming and we were able to see everything. We didn't need a bus to get from one park to the other all we had to do was walk less than 5 minutes - they faced each other. There were characters on every corner. Our daughters enjoyed getting autographs and pictures taken with various characters from Pixar and Disney Movies!! We also enjoyed the fact that Downtown Disney led you into the parks. It wasn't a separate area like in Florida. Therefore you were able to enjoy Downtown Disney each morning as you walked to the park or each evening as you walked back to your hotel.

Tips for Families

Arrive at the park when it opens and head to the ride that you want to ride the most and then Fast Pass the other rides. Purchase autograph books inside Disneyland they have some very nice ones where you can put a picture and autograph next to each other. Make sure to visit "Toon Town" no matter how old your children they will enjoy it. Get in line for the princess meet and greet during the parade - less wait time.
