A fun place to stay, but a few warts
Travelled here during June, 2012 with my family. We decided to stay here because of the hotel's shared facilities with the Ritz Carlton next door. Also, as a Marriott Platinum member, i was looking forward to a nice, large-sized room. Our stay was mostly positive, but there were a few wrinkles that should be pointed out. Positives: -The hotel facilities are very nice. The lobby is impressive and the pool/lazy river are wonderful resting areas (particularly after a day of running around theme parks in the hot, summer sun.) -The restaurants on-premise are good. Primo was excellent, while the American restaurant had a good breakfast buffet and was all-around pleasant. -It is an easy five minute walk over to the...
Excellent property, fantastic pool.
I've stayed here several times now and will stay here again in the future. The resort is centrally located in Orlando and the property is great. The JW shares the property with the Ritz so they don't short change anything. The pool is the best part with the l...
Perfect for family vacation!
We stayed for a week for our summer vacation. We were traveling with 5 children and grandma. This hotel was extremely family friendly. There is a huge lazy river that connects several pools (including a zero entry - great for babies) The pools don't get more than 4 ft deep or so, which is great for kids. There is a Starbucks in the Lobby, but also don't miss out on the Cafe Bodega for snacks and food items. You can request a fridge to be delivered to your room for no charge - this is great for stocking your own drinks, snacks, etc... Awesome kids activities such as making t shirts, pixie sticks, crafts, movie nights, etc... (Some have a charge $5-$10 each some are free.) Easy access to push around a stroller...
We spent the weekend there and really enjoyed the pool and lazy river. The room we had was large and very nice with a view of the golf course and the pool area. The staff at the pool was so friendly and attentive, but I cannot say the same for the Citron Brasserie restaurant. They were really slow and my husband and son were half way through ...
