Some dissapointment

Submitted by: guest

Was exited to stay at this hotel and attend the Children's Medical Center Parade the next day. We got their around 11pm. Bell man met us at our car and quickly loaded all of our bags on the cart. Took a few minutes for a desk clerk to appear. There was one at the desk on the phone and he never acknowledged us. The desk clerk that helped us was friendly […] and polite. The Bellman was waiting at our door with our bags when we got there and was very helpful in putting our bags away. We immediately called to get a rollaway and were told that they were sold out, but they had plenty of pillows and blankets and would bring some. We fell asleep waiting for them (they never came). The beds were a little hard for my ...

Hotel right in downtown

Submitted by: DavidL

The hotel is neither plush or homey and cramp. Just like the ones I would stay for a business trip and get out as soon as I am done. It's downtown, so it's a weekend ghostown. No self parking! Read the print. Valet will cost you $24+tax a day and I found out I can park at the Neiman Marcus public carpark, the same one used by the valet, for $10 weekday […] or $2 weekend. How do I know? When you pick up your car at the valet, your will see the valet running to the public carpark. It is also not within walking distance to the attactions like JFK memorial or the aquarium. So you will spend more to tip the valet to drive you there in their courtesy car.The only plus are the several pubs and restaurants around the ho...

Fabulous Experience!

Submitted by: MelissaM.

My mom, my two kids (ages 3 and 6) and I stayed one night at the Magnolia in Dallas. From the moment we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised. At check in, the clerk behind the desk made my kids balloon animals. We were asked if we preferred a room on a higher or lower floor. We were given a run down of all the hotel's amenitiies. They have a happy […] hour every evening, which was lovely. Each guest gets 2 complimentary sodas, beers, or glasses of wine. At night they have a milk and cookie buffet, which was very well done. It was not just a store bought package of cookies plopped on a table and a carton of milk. Freshly baked cookies of all varieties came out on trays about every 15 minutes. Also, the nex...
