Omni CNN Center: Great location to base a Downtown Vacation

What we loved about this hotel: When you check in, kids get a Sensational Kids backpack with games and puzzles. My youngest was thrilled. On your first night, they’ll deliver milk and cookies to your room. We were all thrilled with when we got these. My oldest LOVED the breakfast buffet at Prime Meridian and is still talking about it. It’s expensive, but there is a wonderful selection of fresh fruit, breakfast breads, omelets made on site and they even have gluten free options. We had a room that overlooked Centennial Olympic Park. It was fun to see what was going on at the Park and my middle son finally realized that the Fountain of Rings is actually the Olympic Rings. There is an outdoor pool and this hotel is adjacent to the CNN Center which has a food court. They also have a workout facility and spa. It is a convention hotel, so the common areas and amenities are more business like than a vacation hotel. However, it sits right on Centennial Olympic Park and a very short walk through the park to some of the hottest attractions in Atlanta like the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke and Children’s Museum. The park has the Fountain of Rings to splash in and two very nice playgrounds, including one for all abilities.

    Tips for Families

Splurge on the breakfast buffet. It is really good. Make sure to ask about Sensational Kids when you book so your kids get the backpack and milk and cookies. Sign up for Omni Select Guest program. It’s free and you’ll get a beverage of your choice delivered right to your door, as well as free shoe shine!
