For about $3 you can buy a raft from any ABC store (they're everywhere and sell just about everything) and float in the calm ocean right in front of the Outrigger Reef. For an extra $1, the ABC store will fill up the raft for you.

YesOutrigger Shore
We stayed at the Outrigger Shore (next to the Reef and connected as well). We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo with park and sea views. The room was very clean and very spacious for 4 people. It was a 30 second walk to the beach and about a 5-10min walk to the mai...
One of the best hotels ever stayed at
Likes: + Management is accommodating + Beautiful look of the hotel lobby area + Large room on high floor with balcony and breathtaking view + Hotel is beach front + Great location in Waikiki + Free WiFi, no password required + Complimentary continental daily breakfast (deal booked through Travelocity) + A safe to lock up valuable items + Flat screen TV + Starbucks Coffee on premise Dislikes: - Desk/table in room is tiny - $30/day for parking our rental car (likely the same at other comparable hotels) We booked our trip to Oahu for the week of July 4 only a few weeks ahead of time. We wanted to stay at a 4* hotel on Waikiki beach, but most were fully booked. I eventually found a room at the Outrigger Reef on ...
excellent service, great place to stay, would definitely return
We spent the July Independence Day week at this hotel and thorougly enjoyed it. Great for all ages, with good restaurants and pleasant staff all around. The location is well suited to shopping and on the beach. The breakfast buffet at Shorebird on the beachfront is good value for money with a pleasant and laz...
An average, decent hotel with a great location
After some of the reviews posted here I was worried about being hounded about the timeshare. We did have a “you have a welcome gift” notice on our bed but anyone who has been to Florida, Mexico, or Hawaii knows that is a come on for a timeshare presentation, so we ignored it. Outside of that little card we were never asked once about a timeshare. So now let’s get down to business… 1) Check in was FLAWLESS. Our two rooms were next door to each other and both were ready upon arrival. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice and was willi...
