Best Location on Mission Bay with Loads of Family Activities

Paradise Point Resort has a perfect location on Mission Bay. Recent renovations have upgraded the rooms and 44-acre property. The grounds are tropical and lend themselves to exploring. There are loads of things to do here with kids including bike rentals, roasting marshmallows, multiple pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, an 18-hole putting course and water activities. While close proximity to San Diego attractions, you will need a car if you want to get out and explore on your own.

    Tips for Families

Many of the activities are an additional charge so you can feel like you’re paying for something at every turn. Mission Bay is wonderful for families with very young children because there are no waves. Room categories vary greatly from on-the-beach to no view at all. Some rooms open directly onto lagoons that are not fenced.

    Truly Paradise. . . with a price

This place is beautiful, I would say the nicest resort in San Diego -for families, business or a romantic get-away, and I have stayed at most of the nicer places in San Diego. Paradise Point has everything you would expect form a san diego resort location; The ocean/bay, plenty of pools, putt putt, fun bikes and the list goes on. The staff has always been great and the place is clean. The biggest problem I have is all of the extra charges. Add up all the additional fees before making a decision. A recreation fee of about $20+ which does NOT cover the bikes, putt putt and other activities, and a $30+ for parking. By the time we got our bill we found that the additional fees and additional taxes because of the fees added up to as much as an entire hotel room at some other places.

    Tips for Families

Check the additional charges for everything you want to do or not do before you make a decision. My children enjoy taking trips to the different pools, there are 5 but one is for adults only. THey have a tall structure that you can climb and see the entire resort, I suggest doing this after you check in so you can all get a general idea of what is available. You could be there a week and miss stuff.
