This is a great place to stay with your family. It is very convenient to both Gaitlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We stayed in a 1 bedroom condo with 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen. The kitchen came in handy for preparing meals so we could spend more money on activities. On the property there are 2 pools, a playground, grills and picnic areas. There is also a waterpark right on site which my kids loved. There is also a restaurant, deli and small store to pick up forgotten items. My children enjoyed staying here much more than the place we use in Myrtle Beach.

    Tips for Families

If possible bring your own food. There is a grocery store very close to the resort but the food is expensive. There is also a Superwalmart about miles down the main the strip but the traffic can be horrific when traveling the main strip.

    Great Mountain Getaway

This resort is in a great location. It is located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg at the foot of the Smokey Mountians park enterance. The strips in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are very congested so it is nice to get out of the hustle and bustle. The resort is beautiful and the onebedroom condos are very spacious and comfortable. There is a waterpark on the property but it is not included in your room rate. The resort is near all of the attraction and resturants in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg however, depending on the time of day traffic can get pretty bad.

    Tips for Families

There is a grocery store nearby so you can stock up on snacks, breakfast foods and meals.
