    Classic Union Square Hotel

The Westin St. Francis is an historic landmark hotel. It’s located in Union Square, the heart of the shopping area. There’s a hub of activity here and the location is convenient for shopping, cable cars and restaurants. While the lobby area is more modern, a walk around the hotel is like a tour through the past. Near the Oak Room you’ll see the shoe shining stalls and the architecture speaks to a time long gone. Rooms are modern and have big city views – the only downside is that the area can be a bit noisy.

    Tips for Families

During the holidays they have a famous sugar castle on display and holiday tea in the Oak Room with a piano player which is nice but nothing over-the-top. Across the street there’s an ice skating rink.
