Family friendly honest fun
My daughter and I stayed at the Amish Acres Farm and resort having so much fun!!!! We were transported back in time to a time of simpler living. The accommodations were quaint and lovely quilts were laid out on the beds and private baths, but the food was wonderful, full amish breakfast and a Trasher dinner served family style was wonderful, meatloaf, chicken mashed potatoes and homemade bread and desserts were wonderful. The tour of the farm was fun too! we got to see how cheese was made and churn butter, hay rides around the 130 Acre property was a highlight as well. In the evening we got to attend a wonderful musical in the Round Barn Theater of Nunsense all included in our package. This was a great way to reconnect from my daughter and disconnect from the outside hustle and bussel of everyday life
Tips for Families
Leave the cellphone in the car! take time to reconnect and amerce yourself in the farm, if you go on a Wednesday there is a great Amish Market only blocks from the farm, quilts, furniture and good buys can be found. Check online for deals, we got a one night stay with meals and tour of farm and theater for $99, great Buy!
