Great place to chill out with the kids

We’ve been here several times and enjoy the seclusion of the place, the hammocks and the beautiful white sanded beach and views. The cottages are fine, the zero entry pool on the island, the food is fine. The close proximity to Mallory Square is also good as an evening diversion. The problem here is that Key West itself is pretty downscale and there is only so much you can do here as a repeat destination. And if the weather is too cold or gray, you’re really stuck. We came in February and it was unseasonably cold and it really loused up our visit. We’ve had better luck in November.

    Tips for Families

Babysitting can be a problem here. The hotel doesn’t want to arrange it and there are not a lot of sitters around. We’ve had a few poor ones here. Insist that the hotel recommend you sitters they’ve used and that they know they like.
