Great hotel right on the monorail. One of the best Disney hotels. My only complaint is that there is not a refillable drink station in the lobby of the hotel and you have to walk to the contemporary.
Tips for Families
Hot the pool mod afternoon for a break while everyone is at the park.

Perfect Location for Families
BLT is the ideal location for someone visiting Disney World with younger kids who love the Magic Kingdom. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the park, and the monorail provides a relatively simple connection to Epcot. The hotel is less convenient for Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, but I think the easy walk to Magic Kingdom makes up for it.
Tips for Families
If you’re a DVC member, be sure to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the top floor lounge! And don’t miss the pools, they’re amazing.

Our new favorite Disney hotel!
We stayed in a two bedroom villa the week before thanksgiving. this is the perfect location for the magic kingdom. It’s a quick 8-0 minute walk if the monorail is packed. Our 5th floor location was perfect since the walkway over to the contemporary was right outside our door. Chef Mickey’s is a great restaurant for characters and The Wave restaurant was some of our favorite food the whole trip! It’s all local.
Tips for Families
If you are requesting a two bedroom and need two queen beds in the second room make sure you request a dedicated room.

Location, Location, Location!!
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with 3 generations of family members. Each one of us loved the resort for different reasons. The older ones of us enjoyed the artwork and the modern decor. The kids loved that they could see the Magic Kingdom right from our resort! While there wasn’t much for my kids to do within the resort – there is no hotel or store (you walk to the Contemporary) – the convenience of being 10 minutes walking distance to the Magic Kingdom was byfar the best part about the stay. The Contemporary has a great restaurant – Chef Mickey’s – for kids. Be sure to book a reservation. They are very busy!
Tips for Families
*book reservations for Chef Mickey’s far in advance *bring your own snacks or buy snacks to keep in your room’s fridge. The walk across the open air bridge from the Bay Lake Tower to Contemporary can be cold at 6 am in the winter!
