Superb accommodation and standard of services in the heart of Berlin

From the minute we got near the entrance of the Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin we knew we were in for a real luxurious experience with friendly doormen and porters in elegant uniforms welcoming us to the impressive lobby. It was tea time with music being played on the grand piano and people having an afternoon snack and drinks in the ground floor restaurant. Kids’ autos marked VIP Kids await the younger guests at the reception and a welcome pack is in the room with painting book, pencils, toys and kid-friendly amenities such as bathrobes. Accommodation here is pure luxury with comfortable and spacious rooms. Our suite had a view over the iconic Brandenburg Gate, a great bathtub to soak in after a day walking around wintery Berlin and a steam shower. The classy color scheme throughout and dark furniture gave us an instant feel of classic opulence while all the modern touches were there – iPads are in the room to look for info about the hotel, the city or just check your emails. There’s tons to see and do on the doorsteps of the hotel – Tiergarten and Berlin Zoo, Madame Tussaud’s, the Museum Insel, Potsdam Platz, and Legoland – but the hotel’s fitness center, with its exquisite swimming pool and spa was also quite alluring to rest in-between sightseeing. Breakfast was a treat for a young child with so many cereals, viennoiseries, fruits and dairy products to choose from in the generous buffet. Pancakes and waffles became clear favorites! The staff was friendly and helpful with all our requests, with the concierge particularly knowledgeable. So in short: great location, excellent service and accommodations, and an exciting dedicated program for kids.
