Our entire family LOVED this hotel!! It was a perfect location to stay, not only because it is right on the beach, but it was so easy to get to every place we wanted to visit in San Diego. The breakfast was a perfect start to our day, the room was beautiful, and because every room has an ocean view, we often brought our breaksfast back up to the room and ate on the balcony, while watching the dolphins play in the ocean just out from the hotel. The pool was heated, which was great for the cooler days of January, and the kids swam everyday after getting back from whatever excursion we had been on that day. There is a wine/cheese/juice/cookie hour at the pool everyday, so we would relax, watch the kids swim and enjoy the view of the beach before getting ready for dinner. The hotel is within walking distance to several restaurants, and grocery stores which was great in the evenings when the kids didn’t want to get back in the car and drive anywhere. The kids still ask when we are going back!

    Tips for Families

If possible, throw in a few small sand toys…we didn’t have any, so had to get creative with a couple frisbees we bought, and the buckets from the kid’s lunches at the SD Zoo.
