Great Family Friendly accomodations with a new pool to visit for everyday of our stay!

We had a 7 day 6 night stay at his very family friendly resort. It has 7 pools and almost every pool area we visited had a one foot “kiddie” pool which was great for our young children. The condominiums were all renovated and provided a comfortable at home experience. We loved the outdoor movie night and the planned activities for the week at the resort. We never had to leave outside the resort to have a fun time! Great experience and great fun!

    Tips for Families

This resort is literally 1/2 mile away from Disney World it is perfect if you want a very short commute. We shopped at local grocery stores and cooked breakfast, lunches and most dinners at our condo which is a really good money saving tip for large families like ours.

    Love it!

We live in GA and visit the Sheraton Vistana each Summer. In 2012, my cousin from NY also rented. I asked the resort staff to put us as close as possible and did they ever! We were right next door and it was so nice. My daughter, granddaughter and mother also joined us. I love we could go to the store and fill the cabinets and fridge and it saves us a ton of cash! Love the pools, restaurants on site!

    Tips for Families

Go to Publix and stock up on snacks, drinks and food. Buy the refillable koosie cups, soda refills are only $1 and they are BIG cups. The cups work great for adult beverages too!

Apartment style accomodations for a family that needs more than one bedroom

In the past, we had always stayed at Disney Resort Hotels. This visit to Orlando was a family reunion of sorts, and we needed to be budget conscious. At the Vistana, we were able to find reasonably priced 2 bedroom units which each had a living room, kitchen, and two bathrooms. One bedroom was a master suite, and the other had two double beds. We were in one of the newer sections of the hotel, and our unit was very well kept and comfortable. The Vistana provides grocery shopping service, so we were able to order groceries in advance from a pre-printed list. The groceries were then delivered to our room upon our arrival. The Vistana is a sprawling, neighborhood-like property, with a pool located in each section. The pool was clean and we spent a lot of our ‘down time’ there. Other than that, we really didn’t find much else for our kids to do at the hotel, but that was okay because we spent most of our time at the various theme parks in Orlando. We rented a car and were pleased that the theme parks are all located within a short drive from the hotel.

    Tips for Families

The Vistana’s grocery service was great for basics. You will need to rent a car in order to get around to the theme parks, and can stop for other groceries, etc. at numerous stores on the way to/from the Vistana. Maid service is only provided every few days, so be prepared to make beds, etc. I believe there is a washer and dryer in each room, so you can pack lightly and throw a load of laundry in every couple of days if you don’t mind the extra effort.
