    Monorail Hotel, One of Kind

We stayed at this hotel when we were only traveling with a preschooler and a toddler. This hotel is super cool for many reasons. By far the coolest feature is the fact that the monorail goes right through the hotel, let me repeat that, the monorail goes through the middle of the hotel! It does not get cooler than that. The rooms here were a little larger than your average hotel, but it is listed in the luxury hotel price range, so one would expect that. This hotel had some great pools and the closeness to the Magic Kingdom made for a once in a lifetime visit.

    Tips for Families

This is a great hotel to stay at if you have small children. It was so nice just being able to hop in the monorail in the middle of our touring time to go back to the hotel for the baby’s nap time. This hotel is also the home of Chef Mickey’s and some other great restaurants. My kids enjoyed the arcade, not all Disney Resorts have arcades anymore.

    Great location!

You can walk to the magic kingdom from the hotel – there is also boat transportation and the monorail stops right in the hotel. We viewed the nightly fireworks from the end of the hallway through the large glass windows facing the park – and then viewed the electrical parade on the lake right from our balcony. We also ate at Chef Mickey’s which the kids loved.

    Tips for Families

You can make reservations in advance for Chef Mickey’s – but if you don’t get one, just walk up and ask how long the wait will be. We did that and were seated in 15 minutes.

    PERFECT

This wonderful hotel is connected by the monorail and we almost never have to ride a bus to have access to all of Disney World!

    Tips for Families

Great food is just downstairs and is on the dining plan

    The Suites are Awesome!

We stayed in a suite with my parents and sister/brother-in-law. It definitely made coordinating things a lot easier. Because the hotel was on the monorail, it made getting around so much easier – highly recommended for little kids (still stroller age).

    Tips for Families

Get the mobile phone app to get all the information about the parks, including wait times, etc.
