    Family Fun in the water

Hilton has very few all-inclusive resorts and Rose Hall is one of them. Because the resort was all-inclusive, there was no need to leave the property during our 5-night visit. We didn’t take advantage of the nicer restaurants, opting for the buffet restaurant for dinner every night. The buffet was a great option with a little one who needed to get to bed and a sometimes picky eater who can be hard to please. We also ate there for breakfast (the only breakfast option). We went to the beach, pool, and water park every day. The beach isn’t that big, but the workers raked up the seaweed that washed up overnight so there was plenty of room for sand castle-building. The water park has a zero-entry pool with a pretty sizable area ranging in depth from zero inches to 3 feet. This was popular with our family and other familes with small children who couldn’t swim but still wanted to play in the water. The staff was all extremely friendly. Everyone was especially nice to our boys, saying hello, trying to get them to smile, asking if they were having fun. Since the kids had early bedtimes, we didn’t get to enjoy the evening activities (although the Concierge told us at check-in that babysitting was available). We spent our evenings enjoying drinks on our balcony while the kids slept. The hotel provided a crib and it was the biggest hotel crib I’ve ever seen. It was as big as my son’s crib at home. My only complaint is with housekeeping (and it’s a minor complaint). They were inconsistant in delivering towels and toiletries. We had to call for extra bath towels one day. The next day, we didn’t get any clean washcloths or a bath mat. The following day we got washcloths but no hand towels. Some days they didn’t provide new shampoo. It wasn’t until our 4th day we got any conditioner – and we only got it that one day. We wanted a stress-free, fun family vacation and Rose Hall delivered!

    Tips for Families

To ensure a quiet room, request a “tropical view” room with a view of the golf course. Bring snacks for your kids. There aren’t dining options between breakfast ending and lunch service beginning at noon.
