Ithaca Farmers Market, Ithaca, New York

My husband and I brought our almost two year old daughter to the Ithaca Farmers' Market to grab some lunch after a morning visit to the Sciencenter, and we discovered immediately that we were in for a treat. The facility itself is covered and sprawling. Everything from fresh produce to flowers to meat and herbs as well as locally made clothing, candles, and soap are available for purchase. The prepared food stalls are particularly impressive, offering inventive global cuisine from local vendors. Grab a Cubano sandwich and a Cambodian sticky rice dessert along with some flatbread pizza to share and picnic outside by the lake. Watch the boats go by and enjoy the live music.
