Tips for Families

Go early in the day and try to park on the streets (2 hour parking) to avoid paying for parking (even though the fees go to the zoo) even better, become a member of the zoo (FONZ) and get free parking (and free admission to a bunch of other zoos and aquariums around the country). Also, if you have tots, the small mammal house is not to be missed. Little guys adore this place! My two year old says his favorite animals are the mongoose and the not-a-cat (that would be a meercat, which, you know, is not a car) two residents of the small mammal house.
