Stowe is a great place to visit in any season. Families who love the great outdoors. There are endless recreational opportunities for all ages. You will find skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, tubing, fishing, hiking, biking, dog carting, and more. Stowe is a great year round destination. You can walk, run, bike, or cross country ski on the Stowe Recreation Path. This 5.3 mile paved path will take you through shady forests, past farms and fields, and over the river via 11 bridges. In the summer the Farmer's Market is right on the path. Of course Stowe Mountain offers some of the best skiing in Vermont. And in the summer you can go there to Alpine Slide. There are some great factory tours - Ben & Jerry's and the Cold Hollow Mill. Stowe offers great shopping and dinning as well.
Tips for Families
Parking on Mountain Road can be tricky. There is parking lot behind the Church if you plan to go up the bike path.
