Wailea, Hawaii

We went here several years ago and can't wait to go back! It was and still is our most favorite vacation and hotel! The pools are the best there and kept our kids entertained for days. The food was excellent as well!

This is the best luxury resort in Maui for kids of all ages. No hyperbole! This is due to its water features. The Grand Wailea has a massive 25,700 square feet of pool space for kids; this includes a lot of water slides, "lazy river,' "rapids," a water elevator, and a Tarzan-style rope swing. Thankfully, there's also a separate adults-only pool, and a shallow toddler-specific area as well. A few feet away, the Pacific Ocean laps up against Wailea Beach with gentle surf, and reefs just offshore for fantastic snorkeling opportunities.

The overall ambiance of this hotel was a little on the adult side, but the staff is friendly enough. This place is worth the stay for the pool alone! For older children there is a water slide and a fair amount of room to enjoy the water. There is also a scuba class at the pool which promises great fun for all. The real treat of this hotel, the hidden treasure if you will; the adult pool. The pool is absolutely beautiful and very inviting for couples. If your children are old enough this is a great choice! The grounds, as well as the hotel are immaculate.

We visited Maui on our Honeymoon sans kiddo, but I can't wait to bring our kid here in 2014. One of the best spas ever. Great pool area, delicious resort-based restaurants. (Humu is one of the best.) Sushi, poolside dining, WATERSLIDES. WOW!

We stayed at an amazing condo adjacent to the resort. The kids had an awesome time and keep asking us when we get to go back.

Love everything about this hotel...the location, the large suites, great food, pools and beach. The extra large suites make it ideal when traveling with kids.
