nice stay at the doubletree

Flag review

We stayed at the Doubletree during a visit to Disneyland. It was a bit of a long walk to the park. We walked to the Toy Story Parking Lot and used their busses to the parks. There could be sketchy people on the walk over but for the most part it was families. We ate at the buffet for breakfast a few times and they had a great selection. The room itself was a nice size and was very comfortable. There was a laundry room at the end of the hall which was very convent. Pool area was very small and disappointing. Same goes for arcade room. There was a Starbucks counter in the lobby which usually had a line due to only one employee working. All in all, it was a nice stay with no problems, but no frills either.

Tips for Families

If you want a hotel with a nice pool, this is not it.

magical visit

Flag review

We had a beautiful 3 night stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and every room had a balcony with a gorgeous view of the the beach and Gulf of Mexico. The hotel is right on the beach, the sand is like sugar and the ocean is warm and inviting. I worried my kids might be a little bored during our stay, but not at all. They went back and forth between the pool and beach all day. We ate at the hotel restaurant, Quinn's almost every night with gorgeous sunset views. We left refreshed and relaxed and would love to return.

Tips for Families

At check in, they gave the kids a scavenger hunt to complete and return to the front desk. It took them all over the hotel and they loved it. Quinn's and the Pizza place are great placed to eat for families. Not too pricey and very relaxed.

Relaxing stay

Flag review

We stayed here during a visit to disneyworld. Hotel was beautiful. Staff was attentive with excellent customer service. This was a nice break from the maddness of the Disney crowds during the summer. The hotel pool was beautiful but my kids much preferred the Hilton pool next door. Guests of both hotels can use both pools and the Hilton pool has a lazy river and waterside. It is a quick 3 minute walk. Shuttle service to the parks was good but not as frequent as staying on Disney property. One shuttle would make stops at many parks so sometimes it would take 35 minutes to get to your park. All in all if not staying on Disney property this was a good choice.

Tips for Families

Kids will love the Hilton pool but when that pool gets too crowded, and it will, head back to the calm waldorf.
