Not just for college kids!

Flag review

The Hawaiian Inn Beach Resort is among many beachfront hotels. Overall, it's a good bang for your buck. (You don't feel like you're paying for the view but you can still get the view!) The kids love the miniature golf course and the two gigantic pools (one indoor, one outdoor). For younger children, there's also a baby pool. There are hammocks and cocktails for mom and dad offered poolside and the on-site dining options are very family friendly. http://www.hawaiianinn.com/amenities/

Oceanfront in Daytona Beach - Not just for college kids!

Flag review

Many people think of Daytona Beach as one of the traditional "college spring break spots" along with places like Cancun and Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. First of all, spring break isn't the only time of year to visit South Florida! And you don't have to party till dawn once you're there. Especially if your kids still have a bedtime! Turns out, the much-loved-by-college-students type destinations offer families a great get-the-most-value-at-the-beach type vacations. College students have their budgets, so as families, why not take advantage of the offers traditionally catered towards them? Daytona Beach is famous for long white-sand beaches, along the Atlantic Ocean coastline, a lively boardwalk and a viable vibe of relaxation. Add in the Florida sunshine (and oranges) and it's obvious that Daytona Beach has a lot to offer. It's home to the Daytona 500 speedway, bunch of museums and a host of dining and shopping. College kids have flocked here for a long time but have dispersed a bit to fill beaches in Miami and Panama City. Families come here (as recommeded) but it's nowhere near as big a draw as the theme parks in Orlando. That is of course, another trip entirely!

Enclave Suites is Kid-Friendly

Flag review

So wonderful for big families and a longer stay. The rooms are spacious and include kitchen amenities. There are several pools, two of them are for smaller children only. There's an arcade and game room next to a Pizza Hut inside of the hotel. This hotel also has it's own playground and tennis court. It's worth spending a whole day away from the theme-parks here!

Tips for Families

This is a great hotel for those with (big) families looking to visit Disney World and Orlando attractions like Sea World, International Drive, Universal Studios, et cetera! It's centrally located but you don't have to pay so much to be on park property. Instead they offer a shuttle service to the parks.
