Just gets better and better!

Flag review

The first time I went to California Adventure, it was '05 and pretty early in its lifespan as its own park. It was definitely a work in progress, but thrill rides like Maliboomer and California Screamin' set it apart from just another Disney park. I was a little disappointed that Maliboomer was no longer there, but great attractions like the Little Mermaid ride and Soarin' Over California more than made up for it. So, so excited to go back this summer and experience Cars Land. Seems like it's well on its way to being a full-day destination!

Tips for Families

Hey. Parents. Have a margarita with those tacos. You deserve it.

Treat yo'self!

Flag review

We went after a rain in the morning. Turns out that's the perfect time to go. The park was all but abandoned! We went on Splash Mountain multiple times without having to exit the ride. Ditto Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Only the Matterhorn remained our white whale, as the line was always just a hair longer than we were willing to wait. Can't believe it's already been two years since our last trip there. We are DYING to see Cars Land!

Tips for Families

Plan out your FastPasses very thoughtfully!

Happiest place on Earth. F'real.

Flag review

This was the best. On this trip, we spent part of three or four days at the Magic Kingdom to really take everything in. New Fantasyland is amazing, and we can't wait to go back and ride the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Classics I got to experience for the first time include Mickey's Philharmagic, Belle's Enchanted Tales, and the Tomorrowland Peoplemover (shame on me for never having ridden it before!). From shows to rides to character experiences, this was a magical experience from start to finish. We can't wait to go back. I mean, Splash Mountain was closed. So we're just gonna hafta go back, right? ;)

Tips for Families

Crystal Palace was a great character meal, with surprisingly fresh and tasty food for a buffet!

Still my favorite park after all these years!

Flag review

It had been 18 years since my previous visit, but EPCOT is just as incredible as I remember it, leaving me with an indelible sense of wonder. As much as I miss Horizons, World of Motion, Body Wars, and other dearly-departed attractions, there's still so much to love. Soarin' is spectacular, Test Track is a blast, even old favorites like Living With the Land and Spaceship Earth are still great. Turtle Talk with Crush was an absolutely jaw-dropping experience, with an incredible combination of humor, heart, and "how'd-they-do-that?" technology. And the World Showcase is such a unique experience. Great dining, shopping, and, of course, IllumiNations. All they have to do is spruce up the snoozy Imagination Pavillion and it'll be perfect!

Tips for Families

Don't skip Innoventions. It's often deserted, but there's a real wealth of information-made-fun there.

The "studios" are no more, but it's still a lot of fun!

Flag review

Disney's Hollywood Studios is still a must, if for no other reason than it boasts the greatest attraction at Walt Disney World (or any other theme park, for that matter): The Hollywood Tower of Terror. It was my first time riding the Aerosmith coaster, which was great. And the Toy Story Midway Mania was unbelievable. Still love MuppetVision 3D, but the Great Movie Ride is really showing its age. Now that there's no working studios to take tours of, the park lacks that additional glimmer of magic that tugs at your heartstrings in the other three parks. But there's still plenty of fun be had, and the theming is as jaw-droopingly detailed as ever.

Tips for Families

Eat at the 50's Prime Time Cafe! Comfort food, hilarious staff, and kitschy decor. Really, really fun!

What an incredible surprise!

Flag review

We had no idea what to expect, but it was pure magic. We did the safari first, expecting to see a few animals. We saw ALL THE ANIMALS. It was unbelievable. It succeeds as an incredible place to see animals alone, but then there are also terrific attractions. Expedition: Everest is one of my favorite rides ever. "It's Tough to be a Bug!" is so entertaining, and the "Finding Nemo" stage show may or may not have brought a tear to my eye. Go, go, go. This is not to be missed.

Tips for Families

Flame Tree Barbecue had really good food. Not just your standard burger-and-fries fare, and for good prices.

Such a great experience!

Flag review

This was a fully magical experience. The lobby was exquisite, the staff helpful, the Royal Rooms the perfect amount of cheesy. We loved the pool and hot tub, really enjoyed the food court, and even the gift shop was great and had an extensive selection! Next time, we'd do one fewer day at the parks, because the resort itself had so much to offer and we wish we had time to experience more of it. Highly recommended and we can't wait to go back!

Tips for Families

Do the dining plan! It ends up being a really great value.
