A child's wonderlandFlag review
My family of 5, with children ages 5, 8 and 8 absolutely loved our trip the the City Museum in St. Louis MO. we only wish we had arranged to stay longer because there wwas so much to do and see that we didn't get to see all of it. The outdoor climbing sculptures complete with actual airplanes, giant ball pits and bone fire for roasting marshmallows was amazing. My kids took me all the way up to a 10 story tall spiral slide and yes down we all went. The kids ran themselves breathless in the indoor skate less skate park and had sat for a snack on the World's Largest Pencil. we spent 2 hours in the hands on art stations working with clay, collage, chalk, paint and colored pencils. We explored the Great White Whale room and got lost in the indoor caves. We were there for 8 hours and we still didn't see the circus performance, the shoelace factory, the aquarium or the roof top.We will definitely go back.
Tips for Families
Be sure to give yourself enough time to explore all of the exhibits. If you have dietary restrictions you will need to bring you own food. If you travel before April 1 the museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and the roof top park does not open until May. Some venders only take cash but others do take credit/debit.It is best to write your name and cell number on your child's wrist band in case you get separated
