Tough to beat for the big kids and even the medium-small ones

Flag review

Everyone loves the Eiffel Tower, but IN PERSON, the Eiffel Tower is INCREDIBLE. Our boys had been so excited leading up to our Eiffel Tower visit, and the actual visit only exceeded their expectations. The only reason I wouldn't rate it higher for tots and little kids is that there are big crowds, which can be tricky to keep everyone together. Just be sure to get your tickets in advance, especially in summertime. Read my family's more complete write-up here: familyexplorers.com/eiffel-exceeding

Tips for Families

Buy tickets in advance (exactly 90 days before your trip). Buy the Lego Eiffel Tower kit and put it together before you go.

Long summertime line, but fun for the boys

Flag review

Our 6- and 7-year-old boys loved this. We purchased the audioguide, which helped a lot because otherwise you spend the first half of the "tour" just walking through dark tunnels (no bones). We did not take our 2- and 3-year-olds with us, and were SO glad--it's definitely not stroller friendly, and it is a long time in the dark/dim, with little of interest for the littlest ones. If there's a huge line (which is generally the case in summer), it may not be worth it, depending on how long you'll be in Paris, but if you have time, it's a fun visit and different from many of the other sites you might see. A full write-up of our visit at: http://familyexplorers.com/empire-of-death/

Tips for Families

Get the audioguide. Don't bring a stroller. Don't take the <5-year-olds.
